IMPORTANT WARNINGS

Do not chew on the mouthguard, as this will cause irreparable damage.
Do not cut or otherwise try to alter the shape or fit of the mouthguard under any circumstances.
Do not expose the mouthguard to extreme heat for prolonged periods; e.g. do not place it in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, or ultrasonic bath, and avoid leaving it in direct sunlight.
Do not use any mouthguard showing wear, cracks, separation of layers, or splits. Any mouthguard exhibiting these signs should be disposed of and a replacement obtained immediately.
Never wear another person’s mouthguard and do not allow them to wear yours. In addition to the risk of cross-infection, protection may be compromised, injury may be sustained, and the mouthguard may be damaged beyond repair. As a further step to prevent this, always keep the mouthguard in its box when not in use. Ideally, the wearer’s name should be written on
the box in indelible ink.
Parents and those in charge of children should check the fit of the mouthguard regularly during the period of jaw growth, primary dentition exfoliation, and secondary dentition eruption, to ensure the mouthguard remains secure and does not interfere with the development of the mouth and teeth. OPRO regularly checks products for their retention
characteristics; however, for the reasons described above, individual mouthguards may produce results that differ from those obtained by our in-house tests. If in any doubt, consult a dental practitioner or OPRO for professional advice.
Always consult a dental surgeon or orthodontist before any change in orthodontic status, such as when a brace is worn or is to be fitted to or removed from the teeth, concerning the continuing suitability of the mouthguard. Never wear a mouthguard with a brace unless approved by the person fitting the brace.
